Stem cell therapy for hips and regenerative orthopedics can help heal your hip pain.

Don’t you wish your hip pain would go away, so you can live your life and make your plans without worrying about how excruciating it will be?

Hip pain makes everyday activities miserable. Experiencing constant pain from simple actions like walking from one room to another keeps you from participating in life and connecting with people. Over time, it makes you feel lonely and isolated. It keeps you on the outside of life, looking in when you should be actively participating like you want to.

Pain can leave you feeling held back from doing the things you love and turning down quality time with the people you love.

What are your hip treatment options?

Right now, your options seem to be either having life-altering hip surgery or continuing to live in pain, feeling more and more isolated.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

Simply put, an integral part of your body like your hip shouldn’t be causing this much turmoil, and getting to the root of your problem shouldn’t feel so impossible.

Rest assured, your desire is not unreasonable or out-of-the-question. Whole-body wellness is possible! There are other effective, yet non-invasive options that can help you feel like yourself again.

The Albano Clinic in Salt Lake City, Utah, offers these options through advanced regenerative orthopedics and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma)!

Our non-invasive, comprehensive solutions can bring you back to health. We specialize in advanced orthopedic stem cell procedures that harness your body’s regenerating cells and natural inflammation process to promote healing. We are able to precisely harvest and place stem cells and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) into hip injuries, activating your body’s natural healing processes – without the risk of surgery.

Our approach strives for whole-body wellness, meaning we learn about your personal situation, lifestyle, and desires, and customize a treatment plan that works for you.

What is Stem Cell Therapy Like for Hip Injuries?

Instead of cutting tendons and ligaments and replacing joints like conventional hip surgery, stem cells can adapt to what your body needs. When carefully targeted and injected into the injured area, stem cells accelerate the body’s natural healing process, offering the hope of pain relief and regeneration of damaged tissue. These procedures are noninvasive, have a short recovery time, and leave room for future treatments, should you ever need them. They don’t burn further treatment bridges whereas traditional surgery often limits other treatment options.

If you’re ready to experience pain relief without the risk of invasive surgery, here are the next steps.

First, we help you identify the root cause of your hip pain.

Schedule your consultation so you can meet with our world-class team and get the tests you need. No stone will be left unturned when it comes to your care.

Hip pain can be caused by many different issues. Common injuries treated by stem cell therapy and PRP are:

Hip Osteoarthritis

Joint pain and stiffness caused by degeneration of cartilage and surrounding bone. This injury often starts in middle-aged patients (or as Dr. Albano says, “When you’re not 20 anymore!”) and can worsen with wear and tear over time. PRP for arthritis is a very common treatment option.

Labral Hip Tears

A tear in the ring of cartilage (labrum) cushioning the hip joint socket. This injury can lead to osteoarthritis in the future if left untreated or after surgery.  Hip arthroscopic surgery is a newer treatment that is proposed by many surgeons now but may not be the best solution. Dr. Albano sees a complicated patient population that has had exacerbations in pain after this surgery. Why not try something less invasive and permanent first?  In fact, Dr. Albano knows first-hand the benefits of stem cell injections of the labrum.  He’s had this treatment and has absolutely no restrictions in his high-intensity physical activity, which includes playing hockey, skiing, and cyclocross racing.

Bursitis

Inflammation and irritation of hip bursae, small fluid sacs acting as a cushion to relieve friction between bones.

Tendinopathy in Hips

A burning sensation caused by the breakdown of collagen in a tendon also called tendinitis. Commonly found in gluteal, adductor, and hamstring tendons.

Avascular Necrosis

A lack of blood supply causing the death of bone tissue. This injury can lead to small breaks in the hip or thighbone, or if left untreated, a complete collapse. A dislodged, dislocated, or broken bone is often the cause of lost blood flow.

Second, schedule your out-patient procedure.

Once you are diagnosed, our team will walk you through what to expect for each treatment and guide you through the process.

You can expect short, non to minimally-invasive procedures. Such as having blood drawn and stem cells harvested from your own body. Once the harvesting is done, Dr. Albano will use an ultrasound or perhaps fluoroscopy to precisely target and inject the stem cells into the injured area. You may experience some pain and swelling right after the procedure.

Depending on the severity of your condition and the type of procedure received, you may recover from the procedure within a couple of weeks. Many patients experience results within a few weeks of their stem cell therapy or PRP treatment and continue to see improvement over four or more months.
