Regenerative Medicine and Cell Therapy for
Hip Injuries

Stop the pain, frustration and dysfunction without surgery and start living better today.

SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION

We understand that a hip injury and the resulting pain can make your day-to-day life miserable and extremely difficult. Limited mobility, excruciatingly acute pain, and long-term pain can dramatically reduce your quality of life and keep you from the things you love most.

For many hip injuries, targeted regenerative cell and PRP injections can provide a non-invasive solution to help improve your overall health and wellness and get you back to the lifestyle you love.

Commonly Treated Hip Injuries

  • Osteoarthritis
  • Labral Tear
  • Bursitis
  • Tendinopathy (gluteal, adductor, hamstring and others)
  • Avascular Necrosis

Alternatives To Hip Surgery

Too often hip surgeries and hip replacement are presented as the only treatment options for hip injuries. While hip replacement surgery may be necessary in some cases, it is a significant medical procedure with the risk of complications, including persistent pain and infection, and may require a longer recovery. And while hip arthroscopy has become a popular treatment option, results can vary widely.

At the Albano Clinic, we look for non-invasive comprehensive solutions that can bring you back to health. As part of our whole-body approach, we are able to precisely place regenerative cell and PRP treatments to treat hip injuries – without the risk of surgery.

PRP Therapy For Hip Labral Tears

Hip labral tears can cause pain in your hip, buttocks or groin and make your favorite activities impossible to enjoy. In addition to the intense pain labral tears bring, you also may experience stiffness and a limited range of motion, which can affect your ability to stand, walk, climb, or squat.

More often than not, surgery is recommended to repair hip labral tears. At the Albano Clinic, we believe targeted biologics can provide a significantly better solution in many cases.

As part of our whole-body approach to health and wellness, we can help you feel better and move better by encouraging your own body’s healing process through regenerative medicine and PRP injections.

Research shows that regenerative cell therapy for hips is less invasive than conventional options and can help you get back to the active lifestyle you enjoy faster than surgical procedures.

Start Living Better Today

It was Dr. Albano that discovered my hip issues after he did regenerative cell therapy to fix my rotator cuff surgery.~ Armando Slack

Manny Is Relearning How To Live Without Constant Hip Pain

Manny came to Dr. Albano in 2017 with a rotator cuff injury. After reviewing his medical history and his extensive use of pregnenolone since his early 20s, Dr. Albano requested an extensive MRI of Manny's hips. The results showed that both hips had damage – damage that, unbeknown to Manny, was affecting how he lived his life. "I’m now learning how to adjust to two working hips and am so grateful to Dr. Albano and his whole body approach.”

FAQs

What is the difference between regenerative cellular therapy and PRP (platelet rich plasma) treatments? Expand

Regenerative cells are usually harvested from a patient’s healthy bone marrow. To harvest PRP, we draw your blood and then concentrate the platelets. We then precisely inject the regenerative cells and concentrated platelets into the damaged area, and both biologics go to work to help repair the damaged tissues.

We typically use both regenerative cells and PRP when treating patients. However, there are times when we use just PRP. Every treatment plan varies according to the individual needs of our patients.

Where exactly are these regenerative cells obtained? Expand

Bone marrow is a good source for regenerative cells and we like to use this type of tissue to help heal

There are many living regenerative cells in these tissues. There are also many healthy growth factors that boost your body’s natural healing mechanisms.

What can affect the results of regenerative cell therapy? Expand

For years, the medical establishment has put an emphasis on reducing inflammation and has employed liberal use of anti-inflammatory drugs, usually in the form of NSAIDs, like ibuprofen and naproxen, or steroids. We now know that inhibiting your body’s natural inflammatory response prevents repair cells from reaching your injury.

Reliance on NSAIDs can actually cause further injury by masking pain and allowing further damage to injured tissues. Our targeted biologics treatments are designed to do the opposite of overused NSAIDs. These treatments don't block inflammation - instead, they provoke a healing inflammatory response to increase the number of repair cells in the injured area.

We highly stress that you do not use NSAIDs during your recovery process.
In addition, smoking significantly hinders your body’s healing response. To achieve the best possible outcome from your procedure, it is best to discontinue smoking six months prior to your procedure.
